I feel like our screentime systems are working well. My son has a KARRI in his backpack he uses to tell us when he's headed home (9, so quite happily walking home/heading to the park), but we're working on instilling a bit more responsibility this year. We were on holiday with cousins and the kids washed up - and it made us realise that our son was old/tall enough to do it. Now he loads the dishwasher and does handwashing while my husband tidies up the rest of the kitchen, I fold laundry, get things organised. He LOVES board games so the incentive is that we all work together for 20 minutes after dinner and then we're all off duty for the night, and have the time/space to play a boardgame.

We're in the UK - I wouldn't mind a teeny bit more information about school.

Good luck on your kid's senior year! I hope you all enjoy it!. I don't check any of the grades apps. I agree that we are over monitoring our kids and that does not help them or us.

Hear, hear! You know I'm a huge proponent of prioritizing teen sleep (and keeping phones out of the bedroom)!
